Art: Wood Turning & Ceramics

We first noticed Kentucky artist, Paul Ferrell, at the annual TACA show in Nashville, TN. His wood turnings stood out as truly superb examples of that craft both in appearance and feel. When we opened our gallery in 2008, we remembered his work and knew we wanted it for the gallery. When researching his work prior to contacting him, we were delighted to find that Patricia is also an artist of great skill- her pottery is all one-of-a kind as well as being microwave, oven and dishwasher safe! She even occasionally works with a Chinese brush artist to create beautiful paintings on equally lovely pottery.

-Paul uses the native woods of our area to create beautiful pieces of turned wood such as salad bowls, ikebanas, hollow forms, and wine tops. His many years of experience turning are evident in the fine quality of his forms and finishes.

-Patricia, Paul's other half, works with stoneware clay to make functional pots of all kinds. She likes to make things for the kitchen and speciality cooking ware. All her work is safe in microwave, oven, and dishwasher.
